Delete your Quitbloom account and data
You can ask us to delete your whole account, or only your health data, at any time. You don't need to give a reason.
How to request deletion
- Send an email to privacy@quitbloom.comwith the subject "Delete my Quitbloom account". If you only want your health data deleted, say so.
- Your account is anonymous, so we will reply and ask for information to find your account and confirm the request is yours. We don't ask for any password.
- We delete the data and confirm by email within 30 days.
Deleting in the app itself will be added to Settings soon. Until then, email is the way to request deletion.
What is deleted
If you delete your account
All data linked to your account on our servers is deleted:
- health data: your answers, quit plan, cravings, slips, check-ins and support tool use,
- anonymous account ID, preferences, consent records,
- notification tokens, purchase status, AI request records,
- supporter links, invitations and shared progress.
If you delete only your health data
Health data is deleted and your account stays, so you can keep using the app with your plan prepared on your device. Withdrawing your health data consent has the same effect.
What is kept
- A one-way hash of your account ID and the date of deletion, kept as proof that the deletion was done. It cannot be used to identify you.
- Your email to us and our reply, for as long as needed to show that we handled the request.
- Purchase records held by Apple or Google under their own policies. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription: cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
Data on your device
Deleting the app removes the data stored on your device. Deleting the app alone does not delete your data on our servers. If you don't request deletion, an anonymous account that is not opened for 12 months is deleted automatically together with its server data.
